My name is Daniel Peut and I live in the inner North of Brisbane.. Having lived the majority of my life in rural Queensland, the move to the city has opened my eyes to many things I simply wouldn’t have had the opportunity to get involved in back home.

In saying that, I try to get back to the bush as often as I can, as the isolation can make for some striking images.

Photography is something I have always enjoyed, right from a young age. I can still remember the day my Poppie gave me his old Pentax SLR and a roll of film. Try as he might, he couldn’t quite get me to understand aperture and shutter speed and ASA speed of film, but I believe that those humble beginnings really planted the seed for me.

What you see throughout this site is the result of many hours of practice and experimentation – there is always something new to learn when it comes to taking the perfect shot – practice makes perfect, right?
